If you’re here in San Diego, it may not feel like it, but fall has arrived and with that usually comes some changes. School is in full swing, sports are on the fields and TV, leaves are changing, temps are dropping, and Halloween is right around the corner.
Some things at Poway Dental Arts are changing as well. I’ll be posting some individual topics based on these new additions but I’ll give you a sneak peak. I’m pretty excited about both of these additions and so is the staff. There are definitely some patient advantages to both of these additions as you’ll learn in the next few posts.
We’ve got a laser! It’s small, but the iLase is a pen like laser that has many uses in modern dentistry. I’ll delve into this at a later date, but from laser bacterial reduction, removing canker sores, biopsies, to removing a little gum tissue around your crown preparations for better cleaner impression resulting in a better fitting restoration, this little device is very versatile.
Let’s talk about that better fitting restoration part a little more. Another big change is the E4D unit that’s about to take our practice to a whole new level. E4D Dentist is a complete powder-free chairside CAD/CAM system for digital impressioning, designing and fabricating metal-free inlays, onlays, crowns, and veneers in our office. Wait the best part…..it can all be done while you wait.
I think each of these additions are worthy of their own blog entry so you’ll learn about each with more depth in the weeks to come. These two things help me practice dentistry at an exceptional level and ensure the highest quality results for my patients.
One final topic. Use it or loose it.
With the change to fall we start approaching the holiday season and end of the year. For many of you that means you’re insurance benefits for the year will expire come January 1st. Don’t loose out on your insurance benefits that you paid for because you waited just a little bit too long. Maximize you’re benefits, call the office, speak with Michelle or Isabel and figure out how best to use it before you loose it.
